Ingredients:-
- 1 package Dark Chocolate or Devils Food Cake mix
- 1/3 cup margarine or butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 21 oz can of cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp water
Preparation Instructions :-
- Heat oven to 350
- In a large bowl combine the cake mix with the butter at low speed. Should make a crumbly mixture.
- Remove one cup of crumbs for the topping.
- Add in egg and beat until well mixed.
- Press mix into ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Spoon pie filling over crust.
- Sprinkle with crumbs.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
- Cool completely
- Combine powdered sugar and water.
- Drizzle over top of bars. Loosen edges before cutting.
- Cut into squares.
- For lemon bars, substitute yellow, white, or lemon cake mix and lemon pie filling.
- Follow all other directions as above.
